With the 2022 A” design award and competition calling for regular submissions entries, Temper highlights 20 of our favorite winning projects.
For over 10 years, the annual award has aimed to distinguish, share, and inspire good design, creators, and companies. As well as a whole list of prizes, the competition is intended for architects, designers, and innovators who desire to gain worldwide recognition and publication for their projects. Temper will announce the winners of the 2021 edition with a unique feature on May 1, 2020.
Registration to A’ Design Award & Competition 2022 is open now.
The deadline for regular submissions is September 30, 2021. Results will be announced to the public on May 1, 2022.

- Inspiration: The project displaces the combinatorial logic of ready-made components typical of the late-industrial process for a seamless and non-standard protocol of customized fabrication. A formal aesthetic emerges from these processes, imbuing the design with a curvilinear continuity at a detail and spatial level.

- Inspiration: Reshaping the cultural self-confidence with innovative design solutions. The Metal Mesh works as an energy-saving material to block the direct sunlight and aesthetically related to Chinese culture.

- Inspiration: There is continuity not only of the circulation between the inside and out but also of the materials, dissolving spatial limits.

- Inspiration: Since China has developed from agricultural civilization to industrial civilization, history never goes back. The Chinese peaceful and indifferent life aesthetics and faith for the integration of nature and humans are challenged and neglected. We do not deny development, but China needs to regain attention to its own culture at this stage.

the A’ design award and competition is unique with over 100 different categories for creatives to submit their best work into. these include architecture, building and structure design; interior space and exhibition design; lighting products and projects design; furniture, decorative items and homeware design; vehicle, mobility and transportation design; and home appliances design.
this diverse range of categories ensures designers can submit their projects into the most relevant grouping. it also helps entries to be clearly evaluated by the prestigious international jury panel of scholars, professionals and media members.

winning the A’ design award competition is highly sought-after and rightly so. as well as featuring as part of the winners announcement on Temper, laureates collect an award trophy and an extensive winner pack, which comprises publication in the yearbook, addition to the world design rankings, the chance to display in an international exhibition, and the invitation to the award’s gala-night that is ideal for networking.
additionally, winners will also receive an extensive PR campaign, feedback from the judges, inclusion in other magazines and blogs, a winner certificate, and exclusive interview opportunities.
